Last night, the Scotland national team qualified for their first major international tournament since the 1998 World Cup as they defeated a impressive Serbia side away on penalties to qualify for Euro 2020 next summer.
Scotland were lead by PLG client Andy Robertson, who was named captain just over 2 years ago and has been instrumental to Scotland's success in their qualifying campaign. He'll be the first man to captain Scotland at a major tournament since Colin Hendry.
It was Ryan Christie, another PLG client, who scored Scotland's only goal on the evening. Christie has cemented his role as a key player throughout the campaign and has found the net 4 times for his nation since scoring his first in 2019.
PLG client Stuart Armstrong was on the bench against Serbia but the Southampton midfielder has been on of the key men throughout the campaign, moving up to 21 caps for his nation.
A fourth PLG client, Grant Hanley, was selected for the Scotland squad for the first time in 2 years thanks to his fine early season form with Norwich but unfortunately had to drop out of the squad due to injury. Grant will hope to continue to impress and gain a place in the squad for Euro 2020.
